Course Overview
This is a one-day hands-on intensive workshop. During this course, participants will practice specific deep tissue release for the upper and lower lips, upper and lower cheeks, midface, jaw, and tongue. These interventions focus on increased range of movement for these structures. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to review, discuss and practice the Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention protocol.
Participants are welcome to discuss specific issues they encounter in their practice and determine if and what Beckman Oral Motor interventions may be beneficial in improving oral motor function and what other resources, methodologies, products or services might enhance a positive outcome of therapy. Participants are invited to bring video case studies on DVD for discussion and problem solving.
